Getting Here
The cabin is about 25-30 minutes from Traverse City on rural dirt roads. GPS may suggest shorter routes on unmaintained roads where you can get stuck — please follow these directions instead:
Start by navigating to Lake Ann Brewing (6535 First St, Lake Ann). From there, you can "Add a Stop" in your GPS for Lower Woodcock Lake Nature Preserve — this forces GPS to take the correct route to the cabin.
Or follow these turn-by-turn directions from Lake Ann Brewing:
- Head west on Maple St for about 1.7 miles — you'll pass Papa J's pizza right before the turn
- Turn left onto Burnt Mill Rd and follow it south for 2.8 miles
- Turn left onto Oakley Rd for 0.3 miles
- Turn left onto Jeri Rd — the cabin is on the left
⚠️ Do not follow GPS routes that use Bronson Lake Road (from the east) or the south end of Burnt Mill Road — these are unmaintained and can be muddy, rutted, or unplowed.
The dark blue route is the only safe route. Do not take the light blue routes.
Winter note: Northern Michigan winters can be intense! We strongly recommend arriving in a vehicle with all-wheel drive or snow tires.
